The second round of GAPP Czech O-Tour 2026 will take participants to the perfect terrain for orienteering: Vyšší Brod in the Šumava mountains, taking place 5–9 August.
And this won’t be just another weekend of racing. The entire series will be interlinked with the Orienteering World Cup, meaning you’ll compete in the very same borderland forests as the world’s best.

Expect four diverse stages, a typical hallmark of Czech O-Tour: from faster mountain sections to slower, more technical terrain where precision and focus will be essential. On top of that, the atmosphere of World Cup arenas and a packed accompanying programme will make the experience even more special — though we’ll keep those details secret for now.

And because Czech O-Tour always likes to offer something extra, the summer round brings a true highlight:

⭐ Bonus Sprint in Český Krumlov (UNESCO)!

The historic centre of Český Krumlov promises an orienteering experience like no other. Narrow streets, bridges, the winding Vltava River and the iconic castle of the Lords of Krumlov create a setting typically enjoyed by tourists.
This time, they’ll be joined by up to 2,000 orienteers!

The race is planned in two starting slots of 1,000 runners each, and if everything goes well, participants will even be able to choose their start time. The Krumlov sprint is set to become one of the most remarkable — and most photogenic — O-events of the year. 🧭🏰
