The top event of the O-season is knocking on the door! From August 5th to 9th, the Šumava region and the surroundings of Vyšší Brod will become the epicenter of world orienteering. If you want to combine cheering for the elite with a solid dose of your own racing in exclusive terrains, it’s high time to act. The registration deadline for the Czech O-Tour is fast approaching!

What can we look forward to this August? Here is a quick O-summary:

  • 4 action-packed stages + a bonus sprint in Český Krumlov: We will test both your physical fitness and map technique. Look forward to the stunning Šumava forests as well as fast-paced legs through the historic center of Český Krumlov.
  • The World Cup right at your fingertips: Race in the morning, then jump straight into the spectator arena in the afternoon to cheer on the Czech national team fighting against the world elite.
  • Terrains you will love: Top-quality maps, diverse course settings, and fresh South Bohemian terrains full of boulder details and contour treats.

What’s on besides racing

  • August 4th at 16:45 – Opening Ceremony, concert (GLOW), and the grand opening of the new venku.app area. Vyšší Brod Town Square.
  • August 6th at 20:00 – “Správným směrem” (In the Right Direction) Podcast live at the cinema in Vyšší Brod, capacity: 100 seats. Registration opens during July.
  • August 7th at 18:30 – Czech Team Meet & Greet + autograph session. Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens.
  • August 7th at 19:00 – Medal Ceremony in the Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens, accompanied by a concert (Mustang Bluesride).
  • August 8th at 19:00 – Medal Ceremony in the Vyšší Brod Cloister Gardens, accompanied by a concert (So Fine).
