One month to the start of the Czech O-Tour 2023: everything to know about Pilsen race

It is exactly one month to go, on April 1-2, this year’s Kwak Czech O-Tour season will start in Ejpovice in the Pilsen region. What have we prepared and what awaits you?

Where should I look for information?

First bulletin was issued few weeks ago. What is important about it?

  • We welcome you to the beautiful golf course Greensgate Golf & Leisure Resort Dýšina
  • The start is on Saturday at 12:00 (middle distance) and on Sunday at 10:00 (long distance)
  • Entries (for the standarnd price) are open until March 17

Two races are not enough for me. I want more!

We have added a Lucifer cup night O-race (as well as the Regional Championship of the Prague and Central Bohemian Region in the night orienteering), which will have facilities just a short distance from the day races – in the Ejpovice campsite (where, among other things, accommodation is also available). Can you handle the courses even at night? You can find more in the bulletin, the entries for the best prizes are open until March 17.

Lot of fun

A rich accompanying program will be prepared in the arena throughout the weekend. What can we discover already?

  • Testing of the shoes
    Together with the O-RUN brand, which is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, we are preparing to test orienteering shoes from their range. You can try it during a race or just in the arena.
  • Orienteering second hand
    Are you getting rid of unnecessary clothing or orienteering equipment? Do you want to buy equipment for yourself or your children? Now you will have the opportunity to use both in one place during the whole weekend.
  • Let’s clean up the Czech Republic
    Shall we clean up the Czech Republic? After finishing the race on Saturday, we will prepare bags for waste collection for those interested and we will set out to clean the forests in the vicinity.
  • Labyrinth
    You can get lost even on 100 square meters. Can you do it? Or do you complete the course completely without a mistake?

Where do I stay?

We offer 4 accommodation options:

  • Autocamp Ejpovice, 1.5 km from the Czech O-Tour arena, also the center of the Lucifer Cup, offers cabins and spaces for tents and caravans. You can order accommodation and meals at ORIS. 
  • Stylish golf accommodation Greensgate – For participants of the Czech O-Tour, the entire Greensgate hotel is reserved and reserved in close proximity to the arena at very reasonable prices. Orders through the hotel reception at recepce@greensgate.cz, + 420 724 749 083.
  • Accommodation on the floor is provided in Pilsen. Order in ORIS.

A few more points of interest at the end

  • In cooperation with the printing company Žaket, we have agreed that all maps for the stages of the Czech O-Tour will be printed with the best printing technology in the world: offset.
  • All child participants will receive a Čtyčlístek magazine at the finish line.
  • A richly stocked catering awaits you, so you can leave your snacks at home.
