The app for selecting start times for Český Krumlov launches on 12 July
Do you want to experience Krumlov without tourists? Do you want to cheer to the World Cup Qualification race? Do you want to coordinate start times for the whole family? Or do you prefer evening starts? To help you choose, we’ve created an app for selecting start times for the race in Český Krumlov.
START TIME SELECTION (STARTING 12 JULY 20:00)
(link will be published when the app goes live in ORIS)
What is the start time selection app for?
It allows you to select a specific start time for the Czech O-Tour race in Český Krumlov. Race times are selected in the following blocks: 8:00–10:15 and 16:01–18:45.
When will the system go live?
The system will go live on Thursday, 12 July 20:00. At that exact time, a link to the start time selection will be posted on ORIS (the link will also be posted on the website and social media, but please use ORIS primarily). You’ll be able to select your start time until Friday, 26 July 23:59.
Who is this system intended for?
The system is intended only for competition classes. Competitors in the HDR, DH10F, OPEN-S, OPEN-M, OPEN-L, and T classes can start anytime between 8:00 and 10:15 and between 16:01 and 18:45, therefore, they do not need to select a start time in advance.
How will this all work?
- From ORIS, go to the web application for selecting start times.
- Enter the required information for the competitors for whom you want to select a start time (class, registration number, email).
- Click the “CONFIRM SELECTION” button.
- The start list will be published in ORIS a few days before the race.
More frequently asked questions
What happens if I don’t select a time?
If you don’t select a time, we will automatically assign you one of the available start times.
Can I submit a request for a start time via ORIS?
For this race, you must select start times exclusively through the start time selection app; requests made via ORIS will not be considered.
Why do I have to enter my registration number?
The app checks your registration against ORIS and verifies that the selected category matches your registration number.
“The entry was not found in ORIS.”
This message appears if an invalid combination of category and registration number is entered – you can find both next to your name in ORIS.
Why does the time in another category disappear after I select a category?
Start times are assigned according to the organizer’s internal course settings. If a time slot for your category is already taken, it will no longer appear in the list.
A start time is already selected next to my name, but I didn’t choose it. What should I do?
If your start time has already been selected, contact the organizers at it@o-tour.cz and ask for it to be released.
Will all selected start times be respected?
The selected time should be final, though minor changes may occur in the end. The start list published in ORIS is the official one! It will be published a few days before the race.
The website for selecting start times isn’t working. What should I do?
Orienteers have overloaded our server, it should be back up in a moment.
