One Month to Go, 1,100 Competitors – Have You Planned Your Trip Yet?

With the Czech O-Tour in the Krkonoše Mountains just around the corner, Harrachov is getting ready to welcome around 1,100 competitors. Alongside some great orienteering, the event is also a perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful natural surroundings – so make sure you don’t miss out! Here are our first few tips for places worth visiting.

Registration for the races is open until 11 October, but the entry limit is already getting very close. We’ll do our best to increase the participant limit so that everyone can take part in the race.

  • Mumlava Waterfall – One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Krkonoše Mountains, where the river cascades over massive granite rocks into a picturesque valley. An ideal short trip from Harrachov.
  • Čertova hora – Ski Jumping Hills – A landmark of Harrachov and a place with a long tradition of ski jumping. Head up for beautiful views of Harrachov and the surrounding Krkonoše Mountains.
  • Kotel Mountain – A distinctive Krkonoše peak offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. A popular destination for hiking in the heart of the mountains.
  • Štěpánka Lookout Tower – A romantic stone lookout tower on Hvězda Hill, offering spectacular views of the Jizera Mountains and the Krkonoše Mountains.
  • Source of the Elbe – A symbolic place where one of Central Europe’s major rivers begins its journey. The trail leads through the beautiful high-mountain landscape of the Krkonoše Mountains.
