Preparations for the spectator races Czech O-Tour in a full swing!

25. 5. 2023

In the first week of August, the attention of the world orienteering public will be focused on Kokořínsko in the north of Czechia, where the second round of Orienteering World Cup 2023 will be held. Those who want to be there and experience the same terrains as the world’s best orienteers, should not hesitate for too long to register for the spectators races Czech O-Tour! The deadline for applications for a lower entry fee is until the end of June, but there is an allowed limit set on 1500 competitors (by the Protected Landscape Area Administration).

There will be four races prepared for the competitors of Czech O-Tour from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th August.

The center of the event will be at Autocamp Nedamov, which will also be the arena of the Friday’s second stage. Accommodation in cabins in the Autocamp is already sold out at the moment, but there is still plenty of room for tents (you can order this type of accommodation together with the race registration at ORIS). When looking for other accommodation options, you can use our partnership with Booking.com.

The Czech O-Tour program is designed so that every participant can enjoy his races as well as cheering the World cup competitors.

In addition, you will find yourself in a tourist paradise. There are Bezděz and Houska castles very close to the event center as well as the lookout tower on Vrátenská hora. And if in the first week of August there will be real summer heat, the pond right in the campsite will certainly serve well to cool off!
