Czech O-Tour Pilsen: Start in 1 month

2. 6. 2024

The Kwak Czech O-Tour starts in a month in Pilsen and there is a lot to look forward to – 4 stages and a sprint prologue, all in the great atmosphere of the Junior World Orienteering Championship, which will be attended by over 330 competitors from 38 countries.

There are already 970 competitors registered for the Czech O-Tour in the Pilsen region, including big teams from Australia, Japan, Hungary and Ireland. A small orienteering village, which will be the centre of the Czech O-Tour, will be offered by the Ejpovice camp, where you can enjoy the comfort by the lake. We are happy for the great interest – it is already sold out. The arenas for all races will be the same as the JWOC, so you can support your national representatives!

The terrains we have chosen are really nice, ideal for a relaxing summer race, but the maps will definitely give you a bit of tough orienteering. Adam Hájek, the course controller of the Czech O-Tour, has the best read on the forest stages: “The first two stages will take you between watercourses, thickets, rocks and some longer categories and into rocky passages. On the other hand, the third and fourth stage will offer hundreds of valleys, knolls and other terrain details in pure forest with the occasional blueberry underfoot. With the entire organisation team, we hope you enjoy allo of the races. From the youngest racers, to the elites, to the most experienced masters, we take great care in their design.”

In addition to racing and cheering, you can look forward to a proven accompanying programme within the Czech O-Tour, but with many new features. There will be a Sporticus labyrinth for all generations, a crypto game with Cryptomania for two days and the popular O-bazaar. For children, there will be a children corner and a special story race. Newly, it will be possible to test a STR8 compass at the O-RUN store durinig the races. You will also be able to equip with a merch with new pieces from the Czech O-Tour collection.

  • Be part of it! Run the Czech O-Tour and cheer on the best national teams of the world!
