Žacléř – April 2025

This time we will visit the Hradec Králové Region. The spring round of Czech O-Tour will be on the programme on April 5, 2025. Black coal, but it’s not Ostrava region. What is it? Žacléř and Jan Šverma Mine. A former underground mine and now a mining museum. It’s a great place for orienteering and besides running among the original mining machines, there are also dumps that can turn the head of many an experienced orienteer. The mining atmosphere will be felt around every corner. You can expect two races in one day.

Why come to Žacléř?

• in this mining region in Bohemia has not yet been orienteering race
• challenge Jakub Kvášovský from the famous czech TV show “Na lovu” in a special quiz on Saturday evening
• you won’t usualy find a control points near a coal cart or chimney at the races
• two Czech O-Tour races together with the sunday’s race will create a great weekend program
